1. L`Olivar Market 

The most popular of all and the favourite of Palma’s markets, it is characterized by offering a true cultural experience. You will find local producers happy to chat, local fruit and vegetables, and fish and meat stalls. 

The market is located in the Marqués de Fontsanta area, close to the Plaza Mayor, in Palma’s old town. It is open from Monday to Friday from 07h to 14:30h and on Saturdays from 07h to 15h. It is closed on Sundays. 

Not only that, but it is considered a historical place that offers all kinds of agricultural products, cheeses, seafood. But it is not only a place to buy fresh and locally produced food, you can also eat in several places, some with chairs and others from the bars. It’s an experience that every food lover should have. 

 

2. Pere Garau Market

This charming traditional market also offers a wide variety of food at good prices, located in an unassuming venue run by locals for the local clientele.

One of the characteristics of the city of Palma is the meeting of different cultures, so the offer you will find in this place is as diverse as the city itself, you will be able to taste delicacies and ingredients from all over the world, from South America to China.

Another lovely traditional Mallorcan market, a favourite with locals and visitors to the island, the Santa Catalina market offers fresh produce, groceries and wines. It is a lively and cheerful market. 

There are also four tapas bars where you can enjoy a glass of wine or whatever you fancy. It is a neighbourhood market, everything sold is locally produced. This is a good place to get a taste of the most authentic flavours of Palma de Mallorca. You can find it in Sa Feixina Park
